Welcome! A few years ago, I discovered an application that artists employ in their works to bring cultural awareness to their audiences. Having discerned this semiotic theory that applies to literature, music, art, film, and the media, I have devoted the blog,Theory of Iconic Realism to explore this theory. The link to the publisher of my book is below. If you or your university would like a copy of this book for your library or if you would like to review it for a scholarly journal, please contact the Edwin Mellen Press at the link listed below. Looking forward to hearing from you!

  1. Wjat a great quotation. I hadn't come across that one before. And what a super picture. That'd do for a PB prompt.

  2. Yes, my yoga instructor sends that quote every day in her inspirational emails. Today, for some reason, I felt it needed to be shared.

You know, Argent, after I posted the photo, I thought the same thing. Hmmm.... Something to think about for August 16. ; )

  3. Well well, I'm getting a sneak peak for the bus! Maybe I'll go ahead & write something, just in case.

I was going to make a snarky comment about how there you go making me think about other people again - but I actually do try to consider what the folks I see might be going through while they're annoying me.

  4. Hey Bug! Looks like I'm going to have to think of something to do with this, but there's plenty of time...

I hear ya! Usually, those folks are so wrapped up in themselves that they don't see the annoyance they're causing.
